Missgingerdots is under the weather!

I wanted to update my scrapbook friends that I have been out of the office for almost a week.  I have been in the hospital with stomach issues and am not completely well yet.  I will be back online and posting when I am better and able.  Thanks to all of  you who have sent notes and cards.  Love you guys!

I am expected to make a full recovery- I do not have anything too serious. It’s just taking a little longer than I want!

X5764 Pear Cardstock
1272 Cranberry Cardstock

Cricut® Shapes:
Artiste
1″ Shift+3D Object <J> (cut 56, p. 57)

Art Tip! This banner only uses one type of Cricut® shape, but the finished product is still stunning. Use stamp kissing to randomly stamp across the pieces using the stamp set of your choice. Score with the help of the Cricut®-cut score lines on the shape and piece together to create little globes. Tie together with baker’s twine and voila!

Owl Miss You Bag

X5930 Slate Cardstock
Z2162 Honey Exclusive Inks® Pad
Z2117 Crystal Blue Exclusive Inks® Pad
Z1349 Shimmer Designer Brads
Z1752 Sparkles Clear Assortment
Z1311 1¼” Circle Punch
Twist Ties
Thread

Cricut® Shapes:
Artiste
4½” 3D Object <Hallween> (p. 77)
4½” Shift+3D Object <Boo> (cut 2, p. 77)
1″ Shift+Accent 2 <A> (p. 51)

Art Tip! This project uses many Cricut® shapes and all the pieces coordinate so nicely for an adorable finished product. Use the Artiste assembly booklet to put the bag together and then add the embellishments. The feathers are created with punched circles that are stamped using the kissing technique; however, if you don’t have the circle punch, you can easily make these using the Cricut as well. The eyes were created using Shimmer designer brads, but you can use any large brad or button to create the same look. Finish with the “owl miss you sentiment” for a special touch.

Buzz and Bumble- Oh So Fun!

I love the new Buzz and Bumble Paper Packet.  I had so much fun creating my display board with it.  It just makes you happy when you create with it.  The stamp set in the Workshop On The Go is a MUST HAVE.  Take a peek at my
Bee-utiful (just had to put that in there- LOL) artwork.  Get it- BEE-UTIFUL?

Here are a few standard size cards-

This card was fun to make.  I made the squares look like quilt squares and used a stitching stamp set to make the squares look like they were stitched.

The gift card holder- I used the Cricut Artiste Cartridge to cut the card.  I love this cut.  It is a perfect way to give gift cards.  Easy Peasy!

Front of Card-

Card Opened- excuse the holiday starbucks card- that is the only gift card I had handy.  LOL!

And last but not least- my layout.  I love this layout because it is all about my friends.  I’m a lucky lady to have so many great ones.

Hope you enjoyed the art today.  I sure had a great time making it.  Happy Spring Everyone!!!!

Getting Stitched up with Buzz and Bumble

Monday night, Kent and I joined our friends at the Yoloboard + Beach Store to watch Ingo Rademacher dance on Dancing With The Stars.  It was our Monday night Team Ingo Party!  My good friend Stacey  was there with her boys  and her youngest fell and hurt his elbow.  We had to take him to the emergency room to get stitches.  Carson was so brave and so cute.  He had never had stitches before.  I went with her and the boys for support, and of course to take photos.  I always keep my point and shoot camera is  in my purse.  Taking photos and talking about scrapbooking kept Carson’s mind off the needle and stitches to come.  I promised him I would make him a scrapbook page as soon as I got home.   And, that is what I did- thanks to Studio J!  Keeping it quick and simple!  Here is the final layout.  It took me all of 20 minutes to do it.  But shhhh- don’t tell anyone!

Paper Pouch Easter Surprise

One of my favorite new products in the Spring Catalog are the paper pouches.  They come in two sizes- Small and Large.  They are very reasonable- $2.95 for the small and $3.95 for the large.  There are 20 pouches in each packet.  That’s less than 20 Cents a piece.  Great for give aways or parties.  I used them this week for Eater Goodies.  Take a peek-

This is how they are packaged.  They look kind of boring like this.  The fun thing is you can stamp directly on them or you can decorate them with paper and tags.    In the next photo- I decorated the small paper pouches!

I used Chantilly Paper to wrap around the bag.  Then I used the stamp set Girls Rock for the stamped flowers.  That stamp sets coordinates with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge so I cut them out using the cartridge and then stamped them- Easey Peasy!  The ink colors for the flowers are sweet leaf, hollyhock and blush.  I added 3 D foam tape to give the flowers dimension and Sparkle in the middle of each flower.  I punched two holes in the top of the bag and used Chantilly Fabric  for the ribbon.  I love the way they looked when finished.  So simple and easy!

In the next photo, I stamped directly on a large paper pouch and filled it with Candy.  I made an Easter Card using Chantilly Paper and Hoppy Easter stamp set to make the card.  I am mailing this package to my in-laws for an Easter Happy.  I used our new alcohol markers to color the bunny.  Have I mentioned how much I love those markers? I had so much fun creating these Easter Surprises.  I can’t wait to get off work and to make more tonight!

Studio J Express Collections

I love Studio J’s Express Collection.  It makes scrapbooking so simple.  I just created a 10 minute layout from the Team Ingo Party last night and I think it looks great.  The number one excuse for not scrapbooking is time.  I can fix that.  Let me show you how.  Call me to schedule your own personal Studio J Scrapbooking lesson – we can do it in person or online.  Simple, Fast and Easy!

Here is my layout from last night’s party!
